Here I go – I have started planning on how to reduce post pregnancy weight gain . I know it will be difficult this time. That’s why I wannnnaaaaaaa make the whole weight loss plan fun. My point of view towards weight loss is simple. We tend to eat the wrong kind of food to soothe our emotions.

Whenever we are stressed out we choose emotional eating over healthy eating . Therefore, the whole idea of healthy eating requires us to find out ways to soothe your emotions so that you develop the right kind of healthy eating habits . This time my weight loss destination will take few months!

My son is my motivational factor this time!! After being a mom I feel stronger than ever before. I don’t know it’s a strange feeling but I feel a sense of strength to be more determined in whatever I try to do or achieve. It’s like as if I need to make him proud of having me as his mom! Sigh

I will try to increase my stamina to take out time to go out for an evening walk. As of now, my sleep deprivation is not letting me free to start my workout plan. Nonetheless, I will strive to reduce weight day by day and will give a weekly update of the progress.

• Vitamin- E capsules can also be used to get rid of winkles and pimples. Take out the content of a capsule and add half teaspoon of glycerin in it. Apply it on your face keep it for 20 minutes before washing it off with warm water.

• Can’t get easier than this! Research suggests that chewing gum tightens your face and neck’s muscles. It also alleviates any tension signs on the forehead prevent any formation of unwanted wrinkles. So chew gum for 20 minutes daily.

• Honey and milk cream mixture also does wonder to get a clear glowing face. Take 1 teaspoon of honey and add around 1 teaspoon of milk cream. Gently apply it on your face and wash it off within 20 minutes of applying it. This is really efficient in curing wrinkles.

• Take some pulp of ripe papaya and rub it on you face. Leave it for approximately an hour and afterward wash it off. It’s one of the great home remedies to avoid wrinkles and tone your skin.

  • You will find so many people who are curious to discover the art of meditation.   • Say a BIG No to whole milk. There are different percentages of toned milk available in the market so switch to 1 % milk. It will save you from the intake of almost 45 calories.
  • If you feel like having some desserts then try sharing it with your friend.
  • Always include a small portion of salad and fruits in your meals. Preferably, eat fruits and salads before starting your meal.
  • Whenever you feel hungry just grab some fresh fruits. Make fruits as a source of snacks rather than munching fried dry fruits or chips all the time. Fruits are easy to carry, always keep two types of fruits in your bag. Note:- Dry Fruits are not unhealthy provided you take it the right way. Almonds are great option for cardiac health but if you are having the fried version of it then it becomes unhealthy. You can soak 5-6 almonds in water at night and have it in the morning without peeling off the skin. It’s a myth - dry fruits increases weight. If you have a limited amount of it in the right way then without a doubt you can reap its health benefits.
  • Try to pack your office lunch with you. Of course you have to reach your office early and you are always worried about the traffic on the roads. Hence, every working individual prefer to grab lunch from outside, indeed sometimes its convenient but the point remains that is it healthy?. In the morning you can make a sandwich for yourself. There are millions of healthy recipes which can be ready in no time. This weekend take out some time to learn different recipes on Google.
  • Try to keep a track on what you eat. At the end of the day you can write the kind of food you had. It hardly takes 5 minutes every day to maintain a diary. Develop a habit to relax before going to sleep and indulge in introspection. 
  • It’s good that you like sandwiches and it’s also a healthy option. It’s healthy only if you are not adding unhealthy ingredients like a slice of cheese, mayonnaise. On the other hand, if you replace it with mustard and tomato sauce then sandwiches would be an idle snack for you.
  • Try having different varieties of soups, which is not only a healthy option but also delicious.
  •  Whenever you eat something, don’t roam around just sit and enjoy the meal [take your time in chewing instead of just gulping it ]
  • In today’s busy life when jobs have become so demanding and you find it hard to cope up with the pressure. More and more people tend to grab a tin of bear or a soft drink and skip their lunch. First of all bear, soda and cold drinks are unhealthy options. You can keep a pack of Green Tea with you and anytime you feel you can easily dip in hot water. It’s a well known fact that Green Tea benefits.  

  • Needless to say, fruits and vegetables juice are really good to have. But don’t grab a pack of juice which has preservatives and added sugar (though all of companies claim they don’t have). Always go for fresh juices.  
  • I personally love Non- Veg Food. But I do like to eat green vegetables also. Don’t just stick to Non Veg food all the time. It’s advisable to strike a balance between the two.
  • Experiment with different kinds of healthy food. Once you start enjoying various varieties of food then you will start enjoying cooking at home. Therefore, it’s easier to count the calorie intake by knowing what all ingredients you are adding to your recipe.  
  • Never Go OverBoard With Alcohol. I personally don’t think that Alcohol is bad – but at the same time I believe anything over its limit is dangerous. Thus, try the limit the intake of alcohol. There are enough evidence that too much of alcohol and smoking lead to health hazards. Hence, guzzling 2-3 can of bears in a week perfectly fine. And don’t forget to Enjoy Good Wine.

  • One main struggle which every single overweight person is going through is to overcome food cravings. One of the most difficult temptations which are really hard to overcome is the temptations for junk food. In order to reduce weight you need to have control over your temptations.
  • I am sure you must have heard people complaining about how difficult it’s to win over temptations. Needless to say, not many people can do it, and those people who can gain control over temptations achieve positive results.
  • Are you also one of those million people who love to enjoy exotic food? Let’s all accept the very fact that eating gives us pleasure, whether it’s the mouth watering chocolate, pastries or pizza and what not! You will hardly come across anyone who is not fond of some or the other particular kind of food. The preference differs from person to person, and why not?! No individual is the same huh!
  • There are thousands of websites that totally focus on helping overweight people to loose weight and to become healthy. So there is no lack of awareness or information about the right kind of nutrition or exercise one should adapt in order to be fit and healthy. So, where exactly the problem lies?
  • Let’s discuss about why – when – how these food temptations occur. And at last we will try to find a solution to gain control on ourselves to achieve a healthy and fit body. Take a diary where you will be noting down all your feelings towards gaining control over your temptations. Ask yourself that are you depressed because of some personal, professional or health reasons?
  • Every time you had a fight with your boss, wife or boy friend you tend to grab your favorite treat like a choco bar or packet of potato chips. In this situation the food craving is due to your emotions at that particular time you are going through. And what can be a better idea than having your favorite chocolate, cookies or anything which you love to enjoy. It gives you a feel good factor for a while but - but does it make you feel the same way after you finish it? Let’s all accept it that all the food cravings are fattening!!
  • On the other hand if you are fit and you make sure that you workout in the gym on a regular basis then once in a while giving a treat to yourself is acceptable! But when you are trying to reduce, then fattening stuff which is oily or sweet will make your struggle of weight loss even more difficult.
  • Before going to sleep you can write down about what food you had and later which made you feel guilty! It’s very important to recognize the trigger that develops a sense of craving in your mind.
  • Once you know how to cope up, half of your battle is already won. Any factor that leads to food craving needs to be tackled, whether it’s your loneliness which is killing you, or work pressure or a recent breakup.
